Demelza is looking for a new nurse leader to join our team. As a nurse-led organisation, this role is crucial to ensure Demelza South East London’s nursing and care team are enabled to deliver extraordinary clinical services for children and families facing a serious or life-limiting diagnosis.

As the Lead Nurse, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and implementation of nursing and care services both within our hospice and across our communities. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Nursing, Director of Clinical Services, and Lead Nurses from our Kent and East Sussex sites you will be key in supporting Demelza to achieve our strategic objectives
As an experienced nurse leader, you will be proactive and organised, whilst child and family-focused. You will be committed to delivering high-quality care for the children and families we care for and ready to excel with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
As the Lead Nurse your principle focus areas will be to:
• Act as a senior member of the nursing and care team providing leadership to ensure a safe standard of care is maintained and the team are developed to appropriately meet the needs of the children/young people both in the hospice and community.
• Work in collaboration with other services to best meet the needs of the child/young person and their family.
• Safeguard all children and young people accessing services; by responding to concerns raised in a timely and appropriate manner and effectively escalating these in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Support the provision nursing care and support to children and young people with life limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families and carers.
